Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin, muscle, and/or fat from the upper or lower eyelids. It is commonly performed to improve vision obstructed by drooping eyelids or to enhance facial appearance. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia.

After Surgery

Significant swelling and bruising around the eyes are common and usually resolve within 2 weeks. Most patients are functional within one week but require six weeks for full healing. Vision may be slightly blurry at first due to swelling or ointment use. Follow-up appointments ensure proper healing and optimal results.
